Our Story

Built on the Coast.
Built for the Coast.

Zee Ranch was founded with one purpose - to provide commercial farmers, investors, and hospitality businesses on the Kenyan Coast with access to truly quality livestock, raised in the conditions they'll live in.

Who We Are

Rooted in Kilifi, Committed to Quality

Zee Ranch is situated along Malindi–Salagate Road in Jilore, Malindi Subcounty, Kilifi County - at the heart of Kenya's coastal farming belt. We rear goats, sheep, cows, and chickens, with a deep specialisation in premium goat breeds.

Our focus on Boer, Savannah, Galla, and carefully managed crossbreeds isn't accidental. These are the breeds that perform in this climate, command strong market prices, and meet the specific demand from coastal hotels, commercial farms, and smallholder operators across Kilifi County.

"Your Ultimate Stop for Quality Breeds" is more than a slogan - it reflects our commitment to supplying animals you can build a business on.

Our Journey

Building a Breeding Legacy on the Coast

From a modest founding herd to one of the most sought-after goat farms in Kilifi County - our growth has been guided by one abundant quality standard.

  1. 01

    Foundation

    Zee Ranch Established

The ranch is founded along Malindi–Salagate Road in Jilore, beginning with a small herd of indigenous Galla goats and a clear vision: supply the Kenyan Coast with livestock of verifiable quality.

  2. 02

    Breed Expansion

Boer & Savannah Breeding Programme Launched

We introduce South African Boer and Savannah bloodlines - selected specifically for coastal climate performance. Our breeding programme focuses on heat tolerance, disease resistance, and meat weight gain.

  3. 03

    Commercial Growth

Serving Hotels, Resorts & Commercial Farms

As demand grows from Malindi's hospitality sector and Kilifi County's commercial farms, we expand capacity and formalise supply agreements with regional hotels, resorts, and caterers.

  4. 04

    Today

    500+ Animals, 4 Premium Breeds

Zee Ranch today maintains over 500 quality animals across four goat breeds plus sheep, cows, and chickens - continuing to be the coastal region's most trusted livestock source for farmers, investors, and agribusiness new entrants.

Location Advantage

Why Kilifi County Matters for Goat Farming

The Kenyan Coast presents specific farming challenges - high humidity, seasonal heat, and disease pressures distinct from upcountry regions. Animals bred here are adapted to here.

When you buy from Zee Ranch, you're buying livestock that have grown up in your conditions. They don't need weeks of acclimatisation. They're ready to perform from day one - on a commercial farm, a smallholder plot, or as part of a hotel's supply chain.

Kilifi County and Malindi Subcounty also sit within a growing agribusiness corridor. Demand for quality goat meat - from the hospitality sector, local markets, and urban centres - is rising. Our location positions buyers to capture that demand early.
